• Jennifer Kenny Owner/Director

    Jennifer Kenny is the Owner and Executive Director of Fairfield Performing Arts Studio (FPAS). FPAS was established in 2008. Jennifer is the primary instructor and director for all studio classes, camps, and performances. Jennifer was trained at Circle in the Square Theater School in New York City and received a BFA in theater from the University of Connecticut. At Circle in the Square, Jennifer studied under Alan Langdon, Edward Berkeley, Lynn Meadows, Maria Tucci, Carol Shelley, Michael Moriarty, John Stix, John Jones, Stephen Hollis, Olympia Dukakis, Mercedes Rehl, Jacqueline Brookes, Terese Hayden, Andrea Haring, Barbara Knowles, Lucille Rubin, KC Lingon, Moni Yakim, Mina Yakim, Randolyn Zinn, Nora Kasarda, Joanna Gleason, F. Wade Russo, and B. H. Barry.  Jennifer combines a variety of acting techniques, Stanislavski, Method Acting and Meisner Technique, she has learned from all of her teachers and mentors. Some of Jennifer’s areas of expertise are Monologue Coaching, Scene Study, Directing, Shakespeare, Dialectics, Improvisation, Choreography, and Voice. Her past theatrical roles include Adelaide (Guys ‘N Dolls), Irina (Three Sisters), Edward/Victoria (Cloud Nine), Veronica (The Hollow), Juliet (Romeo & Juliet) to name a few of her stage credits. Jennifer has a strong passion for inspiring students of all ages, connecting with people, and bringing out the many dimensions of a character within an actor. Her love and passion of people is what motivates her to run her classes as well as her private coaching sessions.  Outside of the theater world, Jennifer is the mother of two children, Taylor and Bailey, and lives in Fairfield, CT with her loving husband Bill.

  • Robby Schwartz
    Robby Schwartz Musical Director

    Robby Schwartz is a composer, performer, arranger, and teacher. A 2016 graduate of Fairfield University (B.S.), where he studied Music and Biology, he spent a year after graduation as a volunteer in Quito, Ecuador teaching music, English, adult education, and special education at the Centro del Muchacho Trabajador (Working Boys’ Center). During his time at Fairfield University, he lead ensembles like the all male a cappella group, The Bensonians, the Jazz Ensemble, and his blues/rock band, The Lionfish. He is currently pursuing his Master of Music degree at SUNY Purchase. He performs, composes, and teaches on an active basis.

  • Anna Marie Fama
    Anna Marie Fama Camp Staff

    Anna Marie is a rising junior at Skidmore College, majoring in Anthropology and Theater with a minor in Honors Forum. After growing up in Florence, Italy and São Paulo, Brasil, Anna finished high school at Lauralton Hall in Milford, CT, and was also an active member of the Fairfield Prep theater program and a cappella group. Throughout her time at college, Anna has participated in multiple plays and showcases, as well as studied abroad in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Anna also recently completed Shakespeare and Company’s Summer Training Intensive in Lenox, MA and is looking forward to studying movement and theater in Moscow, Russia in the fall of 2019 with the National Theater Institute.

    Anna has been a member of the FPAS family for almost 11 years now: going from camper, student, CIT, to counselor, and there is no one else she would rather work with than her teacher and mentor, Jennifer Kenny. FPAS is Anna’s second home, and she is so ecstatic to continue being part of this community of kind, talented and dedicated artists.

  • Lauren Lopes
    Lauren Lopes Camp Staff

    Lauren Lopes is a passionate actress from Fairfield, CT. She has been featured in many shows, including Marvell Repertory Theatre’s off-Broadway production of Spring’s Awakening, as well as feature film The David Dance and independent film Come Home Raquel. She has representation in both CT and NYC but is currently enjoying her remaining years at UConn before fully pursuing her acting career. Lauren’s favorite part of the summer is spending time at FPAC with her fellow counselors and campers and watching them grow as performers and shine on stage.

  • Eliza Croarkin
    Eliza Croarkin Camp Staff

    Eliza is a former Fairfield Performing Arts camper, herself, and has been in two of its’ summer productions. She has been able to serve as an assistant in a few of Jennifer’s acting classes during these last two school years. Eliza has also been involved in two of Fairfield Warde High School’s Drama Club’s musicals and has sung in the Warde Music Department’s choir programs all four years of high school. This summer will mark her third year working at FPAS. Next year she will go on to pursue a primary education certification through a partnership with Trinity College and Saint Joseph University. She is very excited to work with campers who share her love of musical theatre.

  • Taylor McCuaig
    Taylor McCuaig Camp Staff

    Taylor McCuaig began dancing at 8 years old and continued her training for 7 years. She eventually moved on to compete on the D’valda and Sirico Dance and Music Centre competition team. Her first encounter with theatre, was with Fairfield Performing arts studio in their first ever production: Alice In Wonderland. Taylor then went on to do many shows with the Music Theatre of Connecticut, Fairfield Teen Theatre and the Fairfield Prep Players. All the while, spending her summers at FPAS participating in the camp productions. She will begin her second summer teaching dance at FPAS and could not be more excited!

  • Sydney Middleton
    Sydney Middleton Camp Staff

    Sydney Middleton is excited to be working at FPAS as a dance counselor again! Before Sydney became a counselor she was a camper at FPAS. Sydney was in the first ever production that FPAS had, which was Alice in Wonderland, and she has done it every year since. During the school year Sydney is apart of Fairfield Prep Players, the drama club at Fairfield Prep. She has been in 5 of there productions, over a three year time period. Before joining Prep Players, sydney studied musical theater at Music Theatre of Connecticut in Norwalk, and she also danced at D’Valda for a few years. Sydney is very excited to work at camp this summer and can’t wait to see everyone! She hopes she sees you there!

  • Kieran Brown
    Kieran Brown Camp Staff

    Kieran Brown is a vocalist, pianist, and guitarist based out of Fairfield, Connecticut. Kieran is well-versed in many genres; Musical Theatre, Pop R&B, Jazz, Classical, and Country. Kieran was actively involved in theatre and music at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, her Alma mater. She has participated in Connecticut Regional and State Choirs for 4 years, and was awarded the National High School Choral Award. In 2016, Kieran founded the first ever children’s choir at St. Anthony’s Church in Fairfield. She loves working with kids, and gives private lessons to children from elementary school to high school. Kieran is currently attending Indiana University Jacobs School of Music studying Vocal Performance and Arts Management. Kieran is a member of the Grammy nominated Singing Hoosiers at Indiana University.

  • Blaise Carter
    Blaise Carter Camp Staff

    Blaise Carter is a singer and actor who graduated from Fairfield Ludlowe in 2018. Currently he attends Vassar College, where he is part of a student choir and an a cappella group, as well as student musical theatre. For nine years he sang with the Fairfield County Children’s Choir and the Chamber Singers, who tour and compete nationally and abroad. He was a member of Fairfield Ludlowe’s Close Harmony a cappella group and the Tri-M music honor society, and has participated in the CMEA All-State and Western Region festivals. Blaise began acting in 6th grade, and has performed in shows at RLMS, Fairfield Ludlowe, Broadway Bootcamp, and Vassar. Past roles have included Pippin, Cat in the Hat, Charlie Brown, and Papa Ge (Once on This Island). He was a Co-President of FLHS Performing Arts Club, Choral Representative for Tri-M, and Vice-President of the FCCC Chamber Singers. Blaise has previously served as a camp counselor for Broadway Bootcamp and FPAS.

  • Audrey Burns

    After spending 5 summers as a camper at Fairfield Performing Arts Studio, Audrey is ecstatic to be returning as a counselor this summer! Audrey is a rising senior at Fairfield Warde High School, where she participates in their choir ensemble. She has fostered her love of theatre at FPAS and now participates in numerous productions with ensembles across Fairfield County including the Fairfield Prep Players, Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Bijou Theatre, and Fairfield Teen Theatre. She is so excited to return to her “second home” this summer and share her passion for performing with all the campers!

  • Caitlin Cavanaugh
    Caitlin Cavanaugh Camp Staff

    Being involved in dance from a young age and being named dance captain for multiple musical theater and vocal groups, Caitlin Cavanaugh is so excited to pass on my love and enthusiasm for dance to the kids in FPAS! She has participated in multiple FPAS productions as a young camper such as: The Little Mermaid as Ariel, Beauty and the Beast as Babette, and Shrek the Musical Jr. as Fiona. She has also had the pleasure to perform in a vocal company at D’Valda and Sirico, where she and her group earned 1st place at a National Competition. She is so excited to provide a fun and creative environment for the kids that was provided for her during her years at FPAS.

  • Vincent Ohe
    Vincent Ohe Camp Staff

    Vincent Ohe is very excited to be a part of the FPAS staff after 5 years as a camper. Vincent is active in both theater and music — he participates in Fairfield Ludlowe’s theater program and is also a member of Fairfield Ludlowe’s premier choir, the Tri-M Honors Society, and the Western Region Choir Festival. He was first introduced to theater when he appeared in FPAS’s production of Beauty and the Beast at eleven years old. Recently, Vincent has appeared as Daddy Warbucks (Annie), Theo (Pippin), and Grantaire (Les Miserables). Vincent will be a junior in the fall.
