FPAS Summer Stock Theatre

Fairfield Performing Arts Studio Summer Camp consists of acting, singing, and dancing instruction! Campers are split into three groups, by age, and rotate to three different classes throughout the day. The camp provides a physically and emotionally safe environment to provide optimal conditions for growth and learning as both an actor and a person all while having a fun, exciting, and inspirational experience. A typical day consists of group warm ups and dance; acting classes, voice classes, and dance classes; a snack and lunch; improvisation and theater games; stage makeup and costuming; prop and set design art sessions; and of course, staging and rehearsing the musical.

For students looking for more in-depth training, Jennifer Kenny teaches specialized sessions. The curriculum is designed to provide actors with beginning and intermediate professional theatre training. Actors will focus on: monologue study, scene study, audition preparation, character development, sense memory, improvisation, dialogue, subtext, voice and diction, theatre vocabulary, and techniques necessary for professional or upper-level theatrical productions.
