     9:30 am - 3:00 pm
A full-scale performance, drama training, and drama games are the primary components of the FPAS Summer Camp.  These components are incorporated into each camp day.  The camp provides a physically and emotionally safe environment to provide optimal conditions for growth and learning as both an actor and a person all while having a fun, exciting and inspirational experience.  The campers are grouped by age and when not preparing for the performance rotate from one training class to another.

The classes and rehearsals provide training in MUSICAL THEATER, ACTING, DANCING, SINGING, IMPROVISATION, SET DESIGN, ARTS & CRAFTS!   Preparation and rehearsal for the performance begin in the first few days.  Rehearsal time expands as the camp progresses.  Drama games are incorporated within the training and rehearsal sessions.

Jennifer Kenny leads and directs the camp instruction and the performance and is assisted by a staff trained in acting, singing, dancing and music.  Each day includes morning snack break and a midday lunch break, which will take place outside under our NEW tent!  At the end of three weeks, audiences will be delighted with the campers’ performances.

Open for children entering grades 3-11 in the fall of 2021.

NEW COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES

New drop-off procedures: Our drop-off window is 9:15 am-9:30 am and will have a drop off procession line in place. Parents/caregivers that walk with their child to camp will need to wait at one of the social distancing spaces on the sidewalk for a staff member to complete a health screening and take your child to their into the camp. All cars will enter through our Beach Rd. entrance only and follow the signs marking our drop off system. You can also refer to Drop Off Map created and approved by the Fairfield Police Department. Upon your arrival to your child’s drop-off destination, you will be greeted by a friendly FPAS staff person who will be taking your child’s temperature and doing a health assessment, and then escorting your child into camp. Staff will be sanitizing their hands in between helping children. We appreciate your extreme patience and understanding as we all adjust to this new procedure. All parents/caregivers dropping off children must wear a face covering. Please talk to your camper about the new procedure so they are prepared.

Health screening details: We are unable to admit children to camp that appear ill in any capacity. Please assess your child before coming to camp. All children displaying the following symptoms will not be admitted to camp: fever above 100.3, chills, cough, shortness of breath/breathing difficulties, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea.  Your child must be free of fever (without the use of fever-reducing medicine), diarrhea and/or vomiting for 24 hours before they return to camp. Therefore, if your child leaves camp one day with one of the above, they may not return the next camp day if it is within a 24-hour period. If your child has had the common flu, do not return until 48 hours after their symptoms have subsided.

Face coverings: All staff and campers are required to wear masks at all times except while eating during snack and lunchtimes. We ask that all children bring at least two labeled face masks to CAMP each day. We will have some disposable masks available, but please make it a habit to supply your child with two labeled masks per day for camp.

Camper Groups: All class sizes will be kept to a maximum of 11 campers per group plus 2 staff members.  This summer, our classes will be held both outdoors and indoors.
